Meet our team
Aashi Uppal
Operations Manager
As an 11th grader at Eastlake High School, I am passionate about raising awareness of financial barriers and the lack of financial literacy. My experience with Eastlake DECA’s Financial Literacy Project, coupled with my leadership role on the DECA officer team, has driven me to advocate for better personal financial education and independence. I also bring a strong skill set in marketing, design, and communications to effectively share these important messages and create positive change in my community. Anu and I hope to impact teenagers and young adults in King County!
Anu Arun
Event Manager
As a senior at Eastlake High School, I have been a part of Eastlake’s DECA chapter since my freshman year, and have experience in marketing, economics, and personal financial development. I am excited to bring important financial literacy skills to you all in an engaging way through workshops, leadership activities, and online incentives. Aashi and I are excited to work on this project together.
Our history
We are a dedicated team that has worked with many professionals and city members in order to create an inclusive financial profile across King County. We have been working for two years, across two different projects, to ensure that people are not only receiving a sufficient amount of financial education but also breaking barriers and working through common issues to reach their financial goals.
Our mission
Econetic is dedicated to teaching teenagers effective money management through education, skill development, and engagement incentives to help them thrive in the ever-changing economic state. Additionally, we aim to understand and work past obstacles such as economic instability, high debt, and lack of financial literacy in young adults to help them become financially independent.
